Module Reflection 1

            I have had experience creating an electronic portfolio before. I am also trying it out in this course. In my opinion, this approach to learning is very interesting and adds an interactive element to the educational process. Across all the courses, the same learning patterns can often be seen, which may create the feeling that we are studying the same things over and over again. However, I still believe that traditional methods of learning should not be abandoned. It is possible—and even necessary—to enrich the learning experience with such engaging activities. 

             As for the benefits, I would say that I gained invaluable experience in creating an electronic portfolio in the form of a website. In my opinion, all students nowadays should have experience and knowledge in using online resources. The internet plays a huge role in our lives and increasingly influences all spheres, including education. I think creating a personal website has many advantages, such as improving digital literacy, developing creative skills, and fostering creative thinking. I believe this kind of experience can truly help students in their future careers and lives. They can apply these skills not only in teaching others but also in their own lives. 

            Creating an electronic portfolio influenced my learning experience by encouraging me to think creatively and approach essay writing with enthusiasm. I now enjoy sharing my thoughts in the form of essays on a beautifully designed website. However, I noticed that some of my classmates faced difficulties using the Wix platform. This might be because, at first, this approach to learning seems unfamiliar and unusual, as many had never encountered it before. However, after some time, they gained the necessary skills and presented quite good—if not excellent—results. It’s encouraging to see that creating an electronic portfolio can reignite students' motivation to grow and develop in this direction. 

            I will definitely use the idea of electronic portfolios when I become a teacher because I believe it’s a very interesting educational approach. I think that creating something creative can significantly boost students' motivation to learn further. It may also appeal to people who have a creative spark and want to share it with others. 

            I faced only one problem while creating my electronic portfolio. Initially, I chose a template with a vertical menu, while we were required to use a horizontal one. I had to ask for help from the teacher’s assistant, who helped me fix it. Other than that, I didn’t face any difficulties, as I already had experience working with the Wix website. During my bachelor’s program, I took a composition course where the teacher also used this platform for creating electronic portfolios. 

            In conclusion, I would like to say that this has been a very interesting and valuable experience for me—and hopefully for others as well. Thanks to this learning method, I’ve become more creative and even more interested in the topics I can include in my portfolio. Designing my electronic portfolio brings me a lot of joy because I am quite a creative person, and I love expressing myself and my ideas through essay writing, image selection, and website design.
