ChatGPT and Writing

It's no secret that ChatGPT has made huge changes in our daily lives. Life after the advent of this artificial intelligence will never be the same, as most people are already used to having ChatGPT at hand. It's obvious that, like all technologies, artificial intelligence has its pros and cons. In this text, I will try to describe them.
Since I am a student, ChatGPT is an essential tool for me and most students. In the context of education, the emergence of AI has a controversial reputation for its ethical implications. Accordingly, ChatGPT can become both a valuable resource and a challenge to academic integrity, depending on how and by whom it is used.
But ChatGPT can be very useful, and not as terrible as it may seem to most ordinary people. It can help in generating new ideas, explaining difficult-to-understand concepts or terms, and improving writing skills. Another important advantage of ChatGPT is to help people whose English is not their native language. For example, it provides an opportunity to improve language skills. In addition to all of the above, ChatGPT can help students in times of creative crisis by generating suggestions or paraphrasing ideas. All this makes the writing process more efficient and the learning process easier.
But do not forget about the negative aspects. Like everything else in this world, ChatGPT has its drawbacks. The main disadvantage of using this resource is plagiarism. We can observe that most students can use ChatGPT in bad faith. They can use the already generated responses and give them out as their own. Such students are bypassing the intellectual property necessary for academic work. This disables the real educational process and also reduces the value of real research. This may not be fair to people who are really working on research. It is also worth mentioning that the content created by AI most often does not have the same depth, originality and human understanding. And an equally important aspect is that excessive reliance on AI can lead to a decrease in critical thinking, imagination and analytics among students.
Another of the most common problems with using ChatGPT is the accuracy of the information generated by artificial intelligence. The developers of this resource say that ChatGPT is constantly learning from a large dataset. It is not error-free, it can lead to information that misleads people. Without careful review, students risk making mistakes in their academic papers, which can affect the reliability of information and their grades.
